Dr. Cansu Canca works with developers and deployers of AI systems to ensure the ethical design and implementation of AI. She advises executives, boards of directors, and investors on responsible AI governance and AI risk mitigation strategies, empowering them to navigate their AI transformation with confidence.
Cansu serves as an expert consultant in various ethics, advisory, and editorial boards and as an ethics advisor to Fortune 500 companies. She works with World Economic Forum’s AI Governance Alliance in developing guidelines and best practices for the industry and for investors. She co-designed and co-developed responsible AI tools for United Nations and the INTERPOL. She is the Founder and Director of AI Ethics Lab, a pioneering initiative focusing exclusively on advising practitioners and conducting multidisciplinary research on AI ethics. And she is the Director of the Responsible AI Practice at Northeastern University, where she is also a Research Associate Professor.
